Job Description:
DETAILED ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
OPERATIONAL:
• Drafting and review of standard form contracts such as leases, licenses, services, procurement, general contracts etc.
• Negotiation of such contracts with counter-parties.
• Drafting, review and negotiation of miscellaneous documents such as board resolutions, PoAs, letters, memos, notices, constitution documents etc.
• Liaising with authorities (such as Ministries and QFC) for compliances etc.
• Incorporation of companies with the Ministry and QFC.
• Liaising with offshore offices and subsidiaries for in-house legal support.
• Legal and secretarial compliances.
• Study the constitutions, statutes, laws, rulings and regulations of the State of Qatar and assist the Legal department to ensure adherence.
• Visit selected sites of KH to review and verify documents and prepare analytical reports for legal use.
• Review and familiarize with KH set policies and procedures prior to carrying out activity assignments.
• Liaise with external lawyers and consultants legal related matters across KH properties and corporate office as and when required.
• Prepare memorandum and perform administrative tasks and duties as requested by the management.
• Develop reports, analyze and compile data and prepare documents with respect to KH’s legal activities and operations for the review and approval of the Legal Counsel and the Legal Manager.
• Assist in executing and reporting all Legal assignments in accordance with legal and compliance guidelines and standards.
• Carry out all other duties within the areas of legal compliances/ risk management as and when requested by the Management.
The job holder may be required to undertake additional duties, which may be reasonably expected and forms part of the function of the job.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• University degree in Law from a recognized university
EXPERIENCE:
• About 3-5 years of general corporate experience in a law firm or an in-house role (with a similar work profile). Experience in hospitality is preferable.
