I am now in search for an Assistant Manager. The property represents a home away from home in one of Cape Towns historic locations. A touch of opulence and a modernistic approach with beautiful contour lines and mesmerizing views are what is offered to the discerning guest. Upon appointment these are some of the characteristics, duties & skill required.

Duties and requirements would

Daily Duties such as:
Checking in and out of guests
Ensuring all guest-related activities are booked and providing accurate and informative information
Reservations and email correspondence
Promote 100% guest satisfaction throughout property. Instill the 100% guest satisfaction objective to employees and casual staff.
Ensure that all guest related issues are resolved in a manner consistent with the company’s goals and objectives.
Foster a culture of respect, co-operation and comradery with all staff to create a happy working environment for all employees.
Motivate and give direction to all employees.
Inspect and document repairs and cleanliness of property to ensure optimum upkeep and repair, room cleanliness and overall property appearance.
Participate in and monitor monthly inventory of supplies and equipment, this would include weekly stock takes and daily stock checks.
Ensure purchases made are within budget and by approved vendors.

Minimum Requirements

Min 3 years’ experience in the hospitality industry
Tertiary Hospitality / Tourism Diploma or qualification preferred
Exceptional guest interaction ability
Computer literate (MS Office essential, Semper advantageous) with good communication skills (written and verbal)
Knowledge about Cape Town and surrounding areas will be advantageous
4 to 5* experience
