The incumbent of this position should fulfill the necessary requirements within the Cost Management Department, to lead the relevant business units within the Organisation by providing the necessary information to Management (Manufacturing and Finance) IRO decision making, tracking, reducing and achieving the Labour and Overhead costs.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

? Prepare, co-ordinate, manage and execute detailed annual budgets for the relevant business units using TMC methodology i.e. Gentani (where applicable)
? Compile the MLTP (Medium to long-term planning)
? Processing of accounting journal entries on a monthly basis.
? Provide supporting docs for the monthly reconciliation schedules (where applicable) in line with IFRS and SOX requirements.
? Prepare and update monthly cost control reports.
? Prepare and update monthly flexing files according to gentani or volume / days factors.
? Update of various statistical data required by Management.
? Prepare and Update Executive Performance Cost Management Reports, Income Statement and Forecast (where applicable).
? Initiate cost down awareness within Production and track progress on a monthly basis using TMC methodology (Gentani etc)
? Manage staff and monitor the progress of their tasks and set appropriate deadlines.
? Review Key Performance Areas with staff and identify areas of strengths and weaknesses and recommend the appropriate training courses.
? Ad hoc investigations as requested by plant.
? Provide support to Finance concerning plant matters and costs.
? Evaluation of cost savings.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

? NQF 5 (240 Credits), or in final year of study towards NQF 6, majoring in Accounting or Management Accounts.
? Relevant costing experience (1-3 years), preferably in a manufacturing environment.
