Multi Award Winning Nursery-Stodels is looking for a dynamic, physically fit Assistant Nursery Department Manager at the Bellville Garden Centre. The position will report directly to the Nursery Department Manager

Main duties:
• Maintaining standards within the Nursery Department
• Running the department in the absence of the Nursery Manager
• Assisting with the management of staff
• Completing the operational scorecards
• Completing staff KPA’s
• Purchasing and ensuring the stock levels are acceptable
• To be responsible for overall implementation of any specials/promotions
• To manage the customer request book
• To be responsible for price comparisons
• To ensure write offs are carried out daily

Requirements
• Nursery experience and plant knowledge essential
• 2 years supervisory or management experience
• Passion for customer service and staff development
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Must be organised, efficient, creative and assertive with strong communication skills on all levels
• Sound retail business acumen and understanding the drivers of profitability
• Own transport is required
