Our client based in the Heidelberg / Vaal area in the transport industry is seeking an Assistant operations manager this is a temp to perm position. AA (must be able to speak and understand Afrikaans) - Diploma in Road transport management or logistics or similar.

We are looking for an individual with 7 years plus experience, this candidate needs to be able to take all resources effectively from Hr in the department, scheduling and routing of fleet, fleet maintenance etc. 

Strong knowledge and experience when it comes to scheduled requirements, planning and working with own fleet and outsourced fleet requirements, ensure the briefing and debriefing of drivers takes place, communicating with controllers. Experience / knowledge of imports and export cargo.  Strong computer skills required.  Monday to Friday, plus over time.
