Assistant Operations Manager – Cape Town

Oversee all aspects of compliance and quality for the Cape Town branch & agents. This includes all regulatory & statutory requirements for Occupational Health & Safety and Civil Aviation requirements. The position is also responsible for all risk, investigations and ensuring the overall quality of operations and adherence to the 5 Star certification guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:
• Matric / Grade 12 Non Negotiable
• Drivers License & Own Vehicle
• Computer Literate, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; Cognos.
• At least 1 year operational experience in 1st line operational management and managing teams.
• Experience within the OHS and risk control field.
• Operational knowledge of CCTV systems.
• Tertiary degree should be part of candidate's 5 years plan.
• Supervisory and management training.

Duties:
• All audit requirements for the position to be managed and adhered to.
• External audits requirements for Occupational health & safety (Marsh audit) & Civil aviation audits (Part 109)
• Internal audits 5 Start certification and branch operational audits.
• Management of suppliers for security, risk, civil aviation, and compliance.
• Daily management of Cape Town control room and all aspects of their specific operations including investigations in conjunction with loss specialists.
• Monthly reporting to all relevant structures including national reports to GM of Risk for Africa.
• Daily management of armed escort vehicles and routing according to problematic areas / High risk issues.
• Actively controlling loss management and investigations.
• Arranging polygraphs for investigations, as well as random monthly request.
• Oversee branch maintenance team and ensure that continual improvement is adhered to in line with budgets.
• Ensure that all staff related issues are dealt with including scheduling of rosters and disciplines.
• Ensure that all quarterly audit points are adhered to and managed for the Support elements of the business.
• Actively involved in ensuring adherence to P&L budgets.
• Accurate management of cost’s for all areas of operations.
• Perform general administrative duties related to your department
