Manufacturing company requires a Production Assistant to join their Bellville based company.

The production assistant will report directly to the production manager.

The requirements for this job are as follows:
Grade 12 and relevant tertiary courses
Candidate must have good people skills
Knowledge of Health and Safety
Plant operation
Production planning
Technical knowledge (electrical, pumps, etc)
Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008
Knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook

The candidate's main task would be to see that production is adhered to and successfully completed as per the Master Schedule. The candidate will need to handle any breakdowns either by having it repaired (and supervising it) or doing it himself. The company operates on a 24h shift 5 days a week so the candidate will also be on standby during the night and if need be over the weekend.

Further, he must see to that maintenance schedules are adhered to and health and safety policies are enforced all within reference to the company's ISO procedures.
