Assistant Production Planner


Scope of work

To generate Job files for workshop an Production office
To load drawings on drawing register and Fabrication status report (Internal computer generated spreadsheet)
Re - issue of revision drawings as and when received and up date Fabrication status report
To compare revision drawings with originals to see if any changes and forward it to the estimating dept.
To do cutting list for guillotine and saw from drawings and make templates if so required
Assist with nesting of materials on computer for the purchasing of steel
Assist with compiling of Quality control plans
To ensure relevant welding documentation are available
To compile data packs on end of contract with all relevant information and to client spec.
To ensure that all NDE procedure get carried out correctly by Sub -contractor and that the documentation are to the spec as required by clients
To relieve on purchasing when so required
To relieve on expediting when so required
To assist with production planning and allocation of Jobs


Requirement for assistant production planner

Must have a sound and comprehensive knowledge of drawings to compile cuttting list .
Must be able to do templates for developments as and when required from drawings
Must be highly computer literate and have a sound knowledge of Exell , Word and Projects AND AUTOCAD
Need to be methodical and highly admin orientated
Must be a peoples person and have a lot of positive energy


Qualification for position

Be a South African citizen
Must be Matriculated and possible further education
Must be from a strong boiler-making background with at least a N4 technical Diploma
A minimum of 12 years experience in the boiler making trade
Must be computer literate

Salary 110 ph
