Exciting opportunity exists for an Assistant Risk Manager – Johannesburg.

Purpose of the Job.

To assist the Risk Manager in the implementation of enterprise wide risk management for the Company’s resources, assets and liabilities, ensuring that ‘risk is appropriately managed, value is added and organizational objectives are achieved.

Key Performance Areas:-

Implementing Risk Management Strategy, Policy and Framework
Planning and conducting Strategic Risk Assessments (Governing Body, Executive level)
Developing plans for the risk assessments
Risk reporting
Risk monitoring
Risk Working Committee Secretariat function
Monitoring insurance portfolio
Monitoring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety
Reporting to relevant governance structures
Communication
People Management
Financial Management

Key Requirements:

• 3 - 4 years Risk Management experience
• 2 years’ experience in Middle Management (supervision of staff)
• Commerce Diploma or Related Degree, (preferably Auditing or Risk qualification)
• Knowledge of Insurance
• Knowledge and understanding of Risk Management Tools
• Willingness to travel


Knowledge:

• Knowledge of Risk Management
• Computer Literate
• Knowledge of Legislation relevant to the job
• Knowledge of LRA, PFMA, King 3,Treasury Regulations
