Job Title: Assistant Security Officer

Job Description:

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates who will be required to maintain security and perform special operational tasks.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Guard and protect Company assets
Search personnel and vehicles (surface and underground)
Perform access control
Patrolling
Undertake special operational tasks e.g. Industrial Action
Will be required to work shifts as well as irregular hours
Will be required to travel and be absent from “home base”

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 10
Current PSIRA
Grade C security qualification
2 years relevant experience
Valid drivers’ license will be an advantage

Other Skills/Competencies:

Mental and physical fitness is essential
Must be able to read, write and be conversant in English Policy and Plan and internal candidates.Pre screening, profile testing, on mine assessments, medical and security clearance form part of the recruitment and selection process. Short listed candidates will be required to attend a panel interview. Employment of the successful candidate is subject to the aforementioned criteria. Preference will be given to candidates who reside within our host labour sending area of Kimberley (proof of residence may be requested).
