Wellness Warehouse is currently looking for a dynamic, experienced and skilled individual to join our Operations Team as an Assistant Store Manager for our Paddocks Store in Milnerton, Cape Town.

The successful incumbent will have a strong retail background, be able to lead by example and really embrace all things health.

Main Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Stepping in and performing the role of store manager when store manager is unavailable
• Ensuring the team is aware of budgets and promotions and that marketing materials are in place and presentable
• Driving sales and encouraging the team to achieve budget
• Meetings with the team in store manager’s absence and giving feedback of meetings to store manager
• Ensuring store opening and closing procedures are adhered to
• Assisting with ordering products
• Assisting store manager with rostering
• Delegating appropriate tasks to team members
• Performing a sales function when needed
• Maintaining store look and feel
• Various other duties as and when reasonably required

Minimum Requirements:

• An avid interest in the Wellness industry
• Grade 12
• 3-5 years Retail experience preferably in a supervisory or junior management role
• Experience and training in health and natural medicine an advantage
• Strong computer literacy
• Financial Skills
• Strong administrative and numeracy skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Own reliable transport would be beneficial
• Able to work overtime as and when required, including night work
