A leading financial services company seeks an associate actuary to joint their team. Duties include
Analyse underwriting performance of Service and Maintenance plans and warranties for individual clients and combined portfolios.
Develop product frequency and severity projections and recommend changes based upon analysis.
Provide input for the pricing of future Service and Maintenance plans and warranty programs.
Develop loss triangles to derive risk reserve earnings curve patterns and recommend changes based upon current analysis.
Identify and implement areas for improvement in processes, procedures and standards
Review and implement actuarial practices to address business needs.
Support the development of unit business plans and the successful implementation of these plans in an efficient and effective manner.
Reserving: Unearned premium reserve and incurred but not reported reserve.
Ad hoc actuarial tasks.
Design, creation and maintenance of Actuarial Database.
Continuous risk management at the account and product level.
Monitoring of performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances.
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, and /or other related major
Student actuary (i.e., at least 12 professional exam passes)
Minimum of two years’ experience in short term insurance.
