Synopsis:
Leading financial services provider based in Sandton is looking to appoint a suitably skilled and experienced individual to consult with trustees / management committees of funds, assist with daily management and logistics of client portfolio and coordinate and facilitate between departments

Minimum Requirements:
• Matric
• BComm (Economics, Econometrics, Insurance, etc) OR BA Law
• CFP / CFA advantageous
• FAIS accreditation advantageous
• Minimum 2 years employee benefits consulting
• Risk benefits and investment experience essential
• Strong knowledge of employee benefits industry
• Strong knowledge of client services
• Valid Driver’s License and own car essential

Job Description:
Suitably skilled and experienced individual to consult with participating employers, assist with daily management and logistics of client portfolio and coordinate and facilitate between departments, with ultimate objective to provide overall assistance and backup to senior consultant.

Responsibilities include:
• Trustee meetings, including:
o Ensuring agenda’s are drafted and all annexure are given to senior consultant for approval 3 weeks prior to renewal meeting
o Ensuring meeting agendas are collated, bound and distributed correctly 1 week before meeting
o Attending trustee and sub-committee meetings, management committee and ad-hoc meetings
o Taking minutes and ensuring minutes are typed and given to senior consultant 1 week after meeting and minutes are circulated 2 weeks after meeting
o Matter arising to be auctioned within 1 month of meeting
• Administration, including:
o Distributing information to trustees, insurance companies and asset managers
o Processing invoice payments
o Rebrokes annually – obtaining quotes for new and existing business from insurers, preparing analysis of quotation and recommendations for discussion with client
o Processing Section 14 – collating information, obtaining approval from Financial Services Board and transferring members between funds
o Assisting with drafting annual reports and preparation of financial statements
o Distributing rule amendments
o Obtaining signatures from clients as required
o Issuing standards documents, including quarterlies, surveys, etc timeously
o General typing and administration
• Assisting consultant managing funds with:
o Resolving queries telephonically, in writing or site visits and required and approved by consultant
o Noting down queries from members
o Liaising with trustees and internal departments
o Communicating general draft communication and information booklets to members
o Liaising with courier companies
o Communication to pensioners
• Facilitating and coordinating internal departments, including;
o Liaising with communications department to ensure distribution of documentation, including member porters, etc
o Liaising between departments daily to ensure funds run smoothly
o Ensuring all relevant departments are aware of management committee and ad-hoc meeting dates, and are informed of subsequent changes
o Ensuring each department is aware of exact requirements for meetings, and ensuring requirements are met timeously
o Communicating client instructions, problems or queries are raised to relevant departments and that record thereof is captured to CRM
o Ensuring all clients instructions, problems or queries referred are satisfactorily dealt with and resolved
