Minimum Requirements:
• Matric
• BCom (Financial Management / Financial Planning / Investments)
• Excellent verbal / written business English skills
• CFP license (member of FPI or studying towards)
• Thorough understanding of Financial Services industry, including service providers and retail market
• Thorough understanding of legislation governing investment markets (local / offshore), investment vehicles and retirement funds
• Thorough understanding of tax implications of various investment options available
• Thorough understanding of features and appropriateness of various products, including:
o Presentation Funds
o Retirement Annuities
o Annuities
o Endowments
o Life and Disability Assurance Policies
o Unit Trusts
o Trusts

Job Description:
Suitably skilled and experienced individual to assist with marketing services of Financial Planning Division with, inter alia, wellness days, retirement seminars, on-site consulting, etc. Where necessary, providing holistic financial planning advice to clients by identifying investment and lifestyle needs and objectives and to identify new business opportunities within existing and potential client bases. Also to help develop and implement strategies and manage relationships with key personnel within assigned and segmented corporate accounts. Responsibilities include:
• Assisting in segmented corporate accounts with marketing and financial planning needs
• Developing and implementing strategies to obtain and mange business opportunities arising within assigned and segmented corporate accounts
• Managing and strengthening relationships with key staff in assigned and segmented corporate accounts
• Assisting senior consultants as required
• Meeting clients in person to provide financial planning advice and solutions
• Making written recommendations based on client responses to risk profile questionnaire and discussions
• Providing clients with information on performance of various investment portfolios available
• Educating clients on basic investment principles, i.e. risk versus reward, market sentiment, trends, performance (offshore / local), benchmarks, etc
• Ensuring client investment portfolios are consistent with FPC investment philosophy
• Resolving client queries / complaints and addressing concerns
• Sourcing news business by means of referrals
• Implementing and processing advice in-line with FPC system and policies
