A large CRO is looking for an ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR IT:

Global, fast paced organization, dedicated to improving the development and marketing of medicines

The role sits within IT, but with one foot in the AFrica operational business

You will be responsible for understanding the business requirements and aligning these wit the IT service delivery strategy

Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and business relationship management skills are essential

Offering a consultative approach you will be representint IT in the business by maintaining a high degree of visibility and IT service delivery accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing the Business Corporate functions relationships with IT

Identify key IT customers, build and maintain the 1-to1 relationships and seek to partner their teams and functions with the global IT organizations/colleagues to ensure open dialogue and mutual access and collaborative working

Manage staff in accordance with policies, appraisals, planning, assigning, directing work, rewarding, disciplinging, addressing employee relations etc.

Manage and deliver technical projects in the Africa region

Have a strong technical bacground in IT services.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field

Minimum of 10 years IT experience including previous maangement experience

Ideally from a CRO or Pharma environment along with an understanding of clinical business

Excellent customer relationship management and business relations skills having operated at senior level

Influence/negotiation skills

Ability to identify business needs, management of expectations and demand for provision of IT services and solutions

Able to convey complex technical solutions to a variety of business opportunities

Expereince of service delivery/IT service delivery management

It Project Management experience would be advantageous

Delivery focussed

Deep understanding of the technical area of IT management
