My client is a multinational pharmaceutical company who seeks to employ an Associate Director: Policy and Stakeholder Relations.

Minimum Requirements:

Advanced degree in international relations, political science, public health, policy, public affairs, medicine, pharmaceutical marketing, law, journalism, international business or related field
5 + years of professional experience at progressively senior levels in the field of public health policy.

Significant field experience in Africa, including experience managing government relations, public health policy formulation and implementation, with a strong understanding of the region’s political systems and processes as well as knowledge of and experience working with the relevant policy players and decision makers in the region.

· Strong analytical and strategic thinking ability, combined with sound judgment, proven creativity in leveraging opportunities and solving problems as well as demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and demonstrated experience developing personal work plans and goals.

· Strong work ethic–disciplined, dedicated, a skilled negotiator, self-starter–able to work alone or within team environment equally well. Ability to demonstrate and establish credibility and professionalism with diverse group of internal (all employees) and external audiences (governments, donors, non-governmental organizations, civil society, patients groups, media) in person, over the phone, and in written communications.

· Demonstrated excellence in research, writing, and analytic ability, with strong communication skills–verbal and written.
