B. COMM FIN DEGREE / ACT DIPL + 5 YEARS EXP IN TREASURY ENVIRONMENT. . Extensive knowledge of market conventions, money markets, euro currency markets, bank processes, payment instruments, exchange controls, foreign exchange markets are required.

Qualification
The ideal candidate will have a B.Com or ACT diploma, supplemented by 5 years experience in a treasury environment although candidates with a minimum of Matric with 10 years experience in a treasury environment shall be considered.

Job Specification

Reporting to the Treasurer, the Assistant Treasurer will be responsible for the cash management function in line with the company's borrowing policy. Extensive knowledge of market conventions, money markets, euro currency markets, bank processes, payment instruments, exchange controls, foreign exchange markets are required.
As an Assistant Treasurer you will be responsibile for the following :

Medium and short-term cash flow forecasting.
Monitoring and assisting with risk management.
Foreign exchange management.
Managing cash management bank relationships.
Inter company netting (settlement of inter company payables).
Trade finance.
Receivables management.
Payables management.
Selecting and implementing cash management systems.
Apart from the above functions, the candidate will also be the back up for other treasury functions as required
