Our client requires the experience of a CA (SA), who is a strategic thinker and has an interest in the technical aspects of Audit. In this role of Audit Methodology Specialist, the successful candidate will gain exposure across all industries and join a dedicated group of professionals who are responsible for upholding the quality in everything the Firm does. The successful candidate will provide advice, guidance and support to partners and staff to enable them to do business through proactively managing risk, independence and quality, underpinned by ensuring that the highest ethical standards are maintained and ensure legal compliance and regulatory matters are adhered to.



Qualification:

CA (SA)



Skills & Experience:

2-3 years post qualification experience in Audit and other Assurance

Experience within a similar role advantageous

Knowledge of Excel

CaseWare

ProbeMMX

Ability to multi-task

Proven technical Assurance skills and the ability to develop such skills

Takes initiative

Experience or an interest in developing and presenting training material

Ability to convert technical information into practical tools

Ability to logically and clearly present opinions and proposals

Ability to manage decentralized projects

Experience in GreatSoft and SARS e-filing

Attention to detail is essential

Interpersonal and communication with management of the firm and quality control leaders nationally and internationally

Willingness to travel



Job Description:

The functions of this role will include, but not be limited to, the following:

Develop and present training related to quality and risk management matters in the assurance environment.

Assist with the monitoring function of the firm in terms of ISQC1.

Assist in development of risk management policies and tools.

Consult with assurance teams and provide the necessary technical support.

Maintain audit software tools for the Firm.

Develop solutions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Firms’ audit tools.

Assist with all of the above within the Firm and throughout several other African offices.
