To complete integrated audits of large corporations and contribute towards standard (medium complex) audits under guidance.

-Education- Commercial tertiary qualification with 36 months articles experience or 18 months tax consulting experience or 5 years working experience in a tax working environment.

-Responsibilities-

Plan and conduct straightforward integrated audits of large corporations requiring standard tax, audit and accounting competence and assist in standard audits to ensure compliance with the relevant acts.

Examine tax calculations, analyse and interpret financial statements, check the validity of claims for deductions, finalise objections and appeals, submit interest and penalty recommendations, audit findings and recommendations.

Interact with taxpayers on case related issues, answer queries in respect of completed audits and update information on relevant systems.

Demonstrate a full competence in all the relevant sections and schedules and detailed tax calculations and reconciliations of a specific tax act.

Guide development staff in the execution of basic procedural and administrative tasks on an audit.

Request relevant documentation / information required for an audit, prepare, maintain and archive audit records, maintain operational data.
