We are recognised as the market leaders in heavy -duty auto - electrical products, associated technical services and related safety products throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. Our organisation is looking for the exceptional services of a Fitment Technician to join us at our Cape Town Branch.
The Fitment Technician Assistant will be responsible for performing work in the service/repair, fitment, installation and maintenance of all cameras, strobes and radios; resolving immediate operational and/ or safety concerns and assisting skilled Auto Electricians.
Requirements:
- Grade 12.
- Valid driver's license.
- Minimum 2 years installation/Fitment experience at a Fitment Centre, which should include specialized Fleet Management and mobile installations.
- Good knowledge of motor vehicle electric/electronic systems.

Responsibilities:
- The Fitment Technician performs service/fitment and/or installation of cameras, strobes, radios, safety belt systems.
- Evaluate, diagnoses, troubleshoots systems and perform repairs as necessary.
- Assist in the development of training programs for employees.
- Performs upgrades and additions to systems in order to increase functionality and usability.
- Coordinates with administration and other trades for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently.
- Informs personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing necessary information and taking appropriate action and/or complying with health and safety regulations.
- The Fitment Technician prepares documentation in a variety of written and electronic formats (e.g. daily paperwork/log, time and materials, key and material records, key inventory, etc.) for the purpose of providing written support in compliance with regulations and/or conveying information.
- Request equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required item.
- Responds to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety/security concerns.
- Transports a variety of items (e.g. tools. equipment, supplies, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring availability of materials required at job site.
- Assists other trade personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
- Attends meetings, workshops, training, and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions.
- The Fitment Technician performs any other duties as required from the company.
