Auto Electrician (Vehicle Adjustment Technician) Port Elizabeth
Our client is a leader within the automotive industry and currently looking to employ an Auto Electrician
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Matric / Grade 12
• Minimum 2-5 years’ experience
• Trade Certified / Qualified Auto-Electrician
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Should have high attention to detail
• Problem solving skills
• Excellent work ethic
• Ability to work with little or no supervision and still complete tasks timeously
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good housekeeping
• Valid Driver’s License; Minimum Code 10
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
• Investigate and diagnose electrical problems as reported on jobcards of assembled vehicles
• Undertake electrical repairs to electrical systems and circuits on assembled vehicles
• Determines malfunction of electrical system by visual inspection
• Testing and diagnosis by making use of auto electrician testing devices, such as multi-meter, test light or appropriate testing equipment
• Understanding the operation of different electrical circuits, sensors and control modules in order to correctly diagnose problems
• Interpret and apply technical information
• Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, operations manuals and manufacturer’s specifications
• Repairing or replacing of defective wiring and harnessing
• Installation of electrical accessories and ancillary devices or equipment
• Identify replacement part requirements and submit request as per set out procedure
• Understand and follow safety measures and precautions
• Comply with and deliver work quality that supports and meets standards
• Ability to drive and operate trucks of various sizes
• Adhoc functions within ambit of the job

Basic Salary is R7000 – R13000 depending on qualifications and experience
