• DEGREE/ DIP IN LOGISITCS / PROCUREMENT
• 5 YEARS EXP AS LOGISTICS MANAGER IN AUTOMOTIVE ENVIRONMENT
• ABLE TO WORK IN AN INTENSE WORKING ENVIRONMENT
• STRONG INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
Prerequisites for this position are as follows:
o Relevant Degree / diploma;
o Extensive Logistics experience, with at least 5 years at management level;
o Experience with JIT supply methods;
o Experience and knowledge with/of ERP & MRP systems and bill of materials;
o Computer literate in MS Office, specifically Excel
o Capable of working in an intense working environment and possessing strong interpersonal
skills;
o Energetic go-getter who is results driven;
o Hands-on performer, willing and capable to lead by example.
Key Functions:
o Ensuring that all Customer orders received are efficiently processed into the Company system.
o Production plans are put in place to satisfy Customer demand and timings.
o Ensuring that Raw materials are at all times available to satisfy the production plan.
o Control of stock record accuracy.
o Control of warehousing procedures and housekeeping.
o Control of on time deliveries according to customer demands.
o Transport control, both inbound and outbound.
o Liaison with outside logistics organisations.
o Liaison with Customers regarding delivery status
o All logistics administration functions including Budgets.
o Control of plant logistics structuring, staffing and Staff development.
o Co-ordination of monthly stock evaluation and reconciliation.
