As the B-BBEE Consultant, the primary responsibility of the position is to ensure that the end-to-end process and result of each B-BBEE Audit and Consulting piece is done correctly, according to the best timelines and producing the best results for the client.
In addition, the role requires a candidate who has exceptional knowledge of all aspects of B-BBEE including all the elements of the codes as well as insights and experience into complex ownership transactions. The will need to have worked with all 10 sector codes in detail over a period of at least 3 years and/or have a minimum of 3 years of working closely with Verification Agencies under SANAS. This person needs to liaise with senior staff at Verification Agencies and Clients and resolve matters of concern and technical interpretations.
This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.
As a B-BBEE Consultant your duties will be:
• Ensuring that the BEE Team produces correct, timeous, strategically sound and accurate calculations, analysis, client responses and verifications that are in the best interests of the client.
• Ensure that all aspects of the technical work are checked and verified before any feedback is communicated to clients.
• Liaise directly with portfolio clients and manage all portfolio client’s interactions, including their verification work.
• Apply specialist knowledge to the DTI Codes of Practice and other relevant Legislation regarding BEE to produce the best result for the client.
• Be able to communicate effectively with client teams, project teams and other stakeholders in both verbal and written format.
• Business development management – signing on new clients and maintaining existing relationships, negotiating and closing deals.
• Source new clients, follow-up on leads and set-up initial meeting with potential new client
• Compiling, conducting presentations and marketing
Requirements:
• Matric Grade 12
• Tertiary Qualification
• Extensive knowledge and application of BEE codes
