BRANCH MANAGER –

We require experienced Bank Branch Managers to manage the general operations of the branch in terms of the following critical areas:

SALES MANAGEMENT
• Set and manage the achievement of client retention, growing the client base and reactivating dormant clients in accordance with the Sales Operating procedures
• Manage the achievement of Sales Targets as set by Regional Manager:
• Compile and manage Branch Business Plan in consultation with Regional Manager
• Draw up monthly marketing plan and implement
• Manage the Corporate Relationships Process (Identify, maintain, etc.)
• Knowledge of competitors’ products / services / campaigns

CASH MANAGEMENT
• Manage cash processes according to the bulk teller / teller policy
• Manage Petty Cash Administration and limits as per set policy
• Perform teller and / or bulk teller function as and when required with approved authorisation

CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
• Maintain relationships with internal and external clients
• Create client centric culture within the branch (manage queues, training, walk the floor etc.)
• Maintain professional look and feel of the staff and branch (branch neatness and atmosphere)
• Manage customer experience strategy within the branch

BRANCH ADMINISTRATION AND COST MANAGEMENT
• Manage the batching process
• Manage loan applications workflow process
• Manage the adherence of Standard Operating Procedures within the branch
• Manage Credit Card Administration as per policy
• Manage stock levels of stationery and marketing materials
• Manage all security aspects in the branch as per the policies
• Manage Communication within the branch
• Manage fixed and variable costs
• Complete Monthly Branch Self Audit Programme
• Escalate fraudulent activities to the Forensics Department
• Execute Branch functions / activities in adherence to Internal Audit standards (BPR)

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
• Manage employees in terms of the HR policy
• Management of Staffing levels (headcount management, fixed term contracts, staff movements, staff utilisation, absenteeism, time keeping)
• Motivate staff and create a high performance learning culture
• Identify and develop potential talent for succession planning in consultation with direct manager
• Manage induction and training of new staff within one month of joining the bank as per policy

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Grade 12 with a financial qualification
• Valid RE5 qualification
• 1 - 2 years management exposure in a retail environment as Assistant Manager or Supervisor
• 2 - 3 years’ experience in Sales management
• 2 - 3 years’ experience in People Management
• 2 - 3 years’ experience in Cash Management
• Computer Literacy (MS Office)
• Knowledge of current legislation (OHS, NCA /FICA / FAIS / LABOUR)
• Compliance (NCA, Regulatory and Credit Policy)
• Practical knowledge and Understanding of ABIL Systems (Exactus / Phoenix / Xiriuz / CIMS / Bancs), products and services including the HR Processes, Policies and Procedures and Industrial Relations
• Knowledge and understanding of Policies and Procedures on Cash Management
• Knowledge and understanding of query resolution and end to end loan processes
