Function Responsible to run the section/shift independently. Ensure guest satisfaction and that requests are met consistently. Experience & Qualifications Graduate from a Hotel Management Institute orFood Production Course from a reputed institute4-7 years experienceStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work without supervisionTeam & Goal Orientated Duties & Responsibilities Must be able to work in all sections of the kitchens, however will mainly be responsible for banqueting operations.Must be able to plan and work independently in banqueting operations.Forecast and anticpate banquet volumes and produce accordingly with minimum wastage.Ensure that allocated section is always kept clean and all prep is completed.Run the shift independently.Cook the food as per Standard Recipes.Conduct regular training with subordinates and other staff.Order, rotate and take stock of inventory.Menu planning & costing.Judging quality of raw material & providing quality finished products.Supervise and guide staff as required.Deputise in the absence of senior chefs.Follow prescribed and ensure adherence to standards of hygiene in the kitchen.Follow the Policies, rules and regulations set by The Taj Cape Town.
