An opportunity exists for a Business Development Manager in the Chemical Industry on the East Rand.

Job Role:

To maintain and aggressively grow an active customer base and product portfolio through an outstanding knowledge of product offerings, customer requirements and people/sales skills 

Education:

• B Sc or B Tech in Chemistry (a distinct advantage), or
• A commercial qualification – B Com or MBA - would be advantageous
• Good understanding of Polymers, Paint, Pharmaceuticals or related industries.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite and Accpak

Required Competencies:

1. Ability to travel (Local and International)
2. Commercially astute
3. Self Sufficient and Proactive.
4. Change leader.
5. Good communication skills (written & verbal)
6. Ability to challenge with humility and teamwork spirit.
7. Strong customer orientation. 
8. Very good capacities to analyse complex and sensitive situations
