AA20736 - A leading Airline Catering company situated near the Airport (OR Tambo) seeks a BEE/EE Lounges Manager (F&B Manager) with the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Hospitality Management or similar qualification.Duties will include the following: Management of ALL Johannesburg airport Lounges to ensure the preparation of food according to client, organisational and legislative requirements. AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible for the all operational matters of the airport lounges in accordance with the approved budget while providing the Client with the maximum customer service. Ensure that the food offered to the client and customers is of superior quality. Maintain excellent relationships with customers, guests and clients. Maintain good relationship with employees as well as other departments within the operation. Achievement of budgeted sales, profit targets, monitoring and improvement of standards. Maximise sales and control costs to enhance margins. Ensure consistently high guest service levels at all times. Maintain and monitor operating equipment usage in accordance with budget. Ensure that all orders are captured on the system. Ensure that all areas are standardised with regards to service to the customers. Accountable for staff management, including rosters, leave administration, disciplinaries, etc. Ensure accurate pay sheets are submitted to Payroll on time and labour cost is rationalised on an on-going basis. Ensure continuous development of staff and maintain competency levels necessary to perform their jobs. Ensure airport Lounges staff operates according to laid down procedures and maintain discipline at all time. Adhere to and ensure sub-ordinates adhere to all guidelines related to Security, SHE, HACCP and operational policies and procedures. Ensure standard operating procedures related to the Lounges are in place and adhered to.The candidate must have the following skills: At least two (3-5) years Food and Beverage management experience. 3-5 years’ fine dining management experience is required. Good business acumen with good financial management ability. Excellent Customer service skills. Strong Leadership and people management skills. Must be able to work independently and under pressure. Strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills. Good Computer knowledge with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Flexibility with work schedule -- hours may include evenings and weekends. Good knowledge of food and wine. Operations management experience with purchasing knowledge. Must pass background check required by airline. Benefits: CTC Package above.
