Our client is looking for a dynamic individual to take up the role of Senior BEE Manager and to become a part of their team!

The successful incumbent’s role will focus on BEE and transformation, including specialist and advisory services as well as strategy consulting services. The individual will also be required to be the key point of contact with the client's BEE verification agency for all BEE matters. Additionally, he/she may be called on from time to time to assist with other aspects of the business, namely general project work in areas of sustainability, local procurement and research.
The ideal candidate should have at least two years’ experience in BEE consulting or BEE verification at an accredited organisation. He/she is expected to have a good working knowledge of the DTI Codes of Good Practice and be able to show some experience in applying them.

• Assist the business owners with identifying client requirements and putting together client proposals, including determining timelines, costs and resources to allocate to the project
• Assist the business owners with delivering on client engagements by undertaking the work which needs to be done and adhering to the management project plans and timelines
• Engage with team members in order to process and review relevant client documents in order to produce the correct results for the client
• Be the primary point of contact for the BEE Verification Agent
• Ensure that the Verification Agent has produced the work timeously and accurately
• Ensure that all aspects of the technical work are delivered on time, correctly and to the client’s requirements
• Apply specialist knowledge i.t.o. the DTI Codes of Practice and other relevant Legislation regarding BEE in order to produce the best results for the client
• Be able to produce excellent written deliverables in PowerPoint and other relevant MS Word packages
• Be able to communicate effectively with client teams, project teams and other stakeholders in both verbal and written formats
• Be able to apply strategic thinking to government legislation, solving client problems and developing value-adding strategies which align BEE legislation and objectives, the spirit of transformation and the client’s business strategies
• Identify and structure problems in general, developing the analytics required to solve problems, finding innovative solutions, identifying insights and communicating findings and recommendations

Essential:
At least 2-3 years’ relevant work experience:
• BEE Experience in Consulting/Verification under SANAS AND a Business Degree
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in BEE, including DTi Codes of Good Practice, Sector Charters, detailed reporting, policy review and verification
• Superior technical expertise in the interpretation and application of BEE legislation, including all elements of the DTi Codes
• Experience with BEE systems analysis and strategy creation
• Research experience, especially in business related topics
• Experience with Excel and PowerPoint
Desirable:
• Experience/knowledge of the mining sector, particularly in South Africa
• Knowledge on BEE ownership
• Familiarity with social responsibility best practices

Qualifications:
• Relevant Business, Financial or Honours degree, including Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance, Accounts and Economics
• Preference will be given to B Com Accounting Degrees
