A dynamic leader seeks a Business Analyst in a big data environment. We are searching for a business specialist to elicit and understand the business requirements and to document, validate and translate it into functional specifications that are used by developers. The person must have strong technical skills and an ability analyse and work with large data sets to identify trends and issues.
 
Qualifications and experience:

• 5+ years solid IT Business Analysis experience
• Honours degree Minimum Required
• Software architecture, facilitating JAD sessions, data modelling techniques, UML Process Design
• Strong data skills- analyse and work with large data sets to identify trends and issues
• SQL, UML, XML, Excel and OO
• Strong interface skills (web service interface definition)
• Exposure to web technologies
• Business experience & product knowledge
• Financial background experience

 
Job Description:

• Developing functional specifications to be used by developers
• Testing the functionality of the technical solution against the business requirements
• Interfacing between the business client and the development team
• Working with multiple business areas and multiple teams

 
The candidate should function at a SENIOR level and it is expected that the candidate will have strong technical skills  and work with large data sets.
