I am looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst, this person should have at least 8 years working in the BI profession, preferable on a range of assignments and coming from a Finance, Retail or Supply Chain industry or background. The incumbent should be able to move seamlessly between business and IT, and between strategic thinking and detailed planning and designs.



Qualification:

Tertiary qualification will be an advantage



Skills & Experience:

Exposure to a range of industries – especially Financial Services, Retail, Supply Chain

Good dimensional modelling skills

Exposure to a Cognos, Qlik, Table, PowerBI

Also very comfortable working alone as well as conversing with clients

Very high EQ

Business Acumen

Inquisitive nature and quick to learn and assimilate

Displays quiet confidence and knowledge of BI in a non-threatening/preachy way (humility)

Good documentation and presentation skills

Work without guidance



Job Description:

The role involves holding exploratory sessions with all levels of business users (from the C-suite to those collating spreadsheets), as well as being able to analyze and document technical source systems. After the research / analysis process, the incumbent would be required to propose a suitable BI Roadmap and high level design, relevant to the level of BI maturity of the organization.
