A leading insurance company based in Edenvale is looking for a BI Specialist to join their team.

EDUCATION
Minimum Grade 12 /Matric
Qualification in SQL, SSRS, SSIS or other BI reporting tools
Qualification in MS Excel will be an advantage

EXPERIENCE
3 – 5 Years work experience in Data Analysis/Business Intelligence
Advanced Excel skills
MS SQL – Query writing using T-SQL (Intermediate)
Experience in SSRS or another BI Reporting Tool
Experience in SSIS or another BI ETL Tools would be advantageous
Advanced Analytical skills / Excellent Numeracy skills: Must be able to demonstrate a strong number orientation through abilities in mathematics, accounting, statistics and or finance
Background in working with sales leads would an advantage
Must be able to work independently
Motor Industry experience would be an advantage
Be able to help and resolve customer queries
Multi-tasking: Be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent time management

DUTIES
Ad-hoc data analysis / requests
Ad-hoc management reporting
Report creation, either in Excel or Reporting Services
Write SQL code / SSIS Packages to create/improve/automate data cleansing/extraction processes
Investigate queries from internal requests around discrepancies
Investigate and use new data sources
Data mining, migration and enrichment
