The candidate must be VERY strong in both SSIS (Sql Server integration services) development and SQL coding
Description:
Microsoft Sql / SSIS (Business Intelligence) Developer. (Intermediate level)
The candidate will NOT be a junior resource and must be able work independently without too much assistance, however it is not a senior position and the candidate will be working under a technical lead and therefore must be a valuable and productive team member.
The candidate must be able to do complex SQL / SSIS development in a fast agile manner.
Pre-requisites:
· 2-3 Years’ experience with Microsoft Sql Server 2008-2012 R2 technology.

· Must be very strong in SQL coding. (Must be able to interpret and write complex SQL code)

· Must be very strong in developing SSIS ETL packages. (Must be able to develop an SSIS package with advanced features eg: regular variable and expression usage, package checkpoint usage etc.)

· Must have a good understanding of data types, data modelling and transformation of data, through the use of tables, views and stored procedures.

· Must have very good problem solving abilities, the candidate must be to troubleshoot and resolve errors in SSIS packages and SQL code, in a short period of time.

· Must be able to learn new technologies and techniques quickly, as they will be working in a complex mixed environment, must easily adapt.

Expected Duties:
· Development of complex SSIS ETL packages for a data warehouse environment.

· Development of complex SQL code to process and analyse data in the data warehouse.

· Deployment of developments from dev to production environments.

· Technically supporting the environment, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in these environments.

Preferable:
· Microsoft Certified - SQL Server 2008-2012 (MCITP, Microsoft Certified IT Professional)

· 1-2 Years’ experience with Data warehousing. Or at least a strong understanding of data warehouse concepts.

· Knowledge of Kimball data warehousing concepts.

· BI Experience, reporting services, analysis services cubes.
