Main purpose of the Job
The Bid Manager is responsible for leading all project bids, as well as strategic evaluation, identifies any company risks, and manages the risk process in accordance with the company standards. To develop, write and respond to RFI/RFP/RFQ requests for submission to prospective and current clients. To work closely with the Sales and Operations team to coordinate and manage core activities throughout the proposal lifecycle.
To ensure all bid documentation is clear, concise and crucially, compelling. To source and co-ordinate design input to ensure the visual standard of all documentation and presentation material is first class and noticeable.

1. Main Function of the Job
• Qualify all aspects of the bid
- Attend client meetings with Sales Executive/Account Manager
- Assist Sales Executive/Account Manger to identify key elements to win the bid
• Tender Response management
- Identify and manage company risks
- Meet required deadlines at all times
- Ensure all technical requirements and specifications are identified and met with the Operations team
• Bid Project administration
- Bid document completion and co-ordination of submission process
• Key Account planning
- Client specific project management
- Client incident resolution and satisfaction
- Understand clients requirements
- Liaise with technical staff to ensure smooth installations
- Administrative duties relating to Key Account Management
• Reporting and communication
- Handle client queries and manage feedback on these issues to the client
- Maintain integrity of data in CRM Tender module and other business applications

3. Qualifications and Experience
o Matric qualifications
o Business Diploma/Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar role/Minimum 8 years working experience in a Customer Service/Sales environment
o Advance Microsoft Office skills
o Knowledge and experience in dealing with contracts and service level agreements
o Work and/or educational history must demonstrate strong writing skills in a time sensitive environment
