Our client, a leading Chrome Mining Group is looking for a highly experienced and qualified BIS Practitioner (System Development) at their corporate office in Witbank in Mpumalanga.

Description
To develop, implement and maintain Samancor Chrome Systems in order to provide operational information to meet business requirements and make informed business decisions.

SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY

Identify and assess level of continuous risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, processes, etc.
Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives, minimum requirements, etc.)
Utilise the Information Management System (IMS) to analyse, identify trends, initiate, mitigate, investigate and report SHEQ status
CUSTOMERS

Customer Relations:

Maintain and improve relationships with key stakeholders
Interact with customers and familiarise yourself with operational concerns and any inherent peculiarities (e.g. SHEQ, ISO, IT issues)
BUSINESS PROCESSES

Policies, Procedures:

Implement IT & MES Policies, Procedure, Standards, Protocols, Work Instructions, Codes of Practice, etc.
System Development (MES and other):

New Developments:

Assist with the compilation of project Scope Of Work
Assist with the compilation of technical specifications
Develop and implement Chrome System applications as per technical specifications
Continuous Improvement:

Implement CI initiatives
Reporting/Documentation:

Review and update operating manuals and other Chrome System documentation
System Support:

Maintain system integrity, availability and performance
Provide a 24 hr support function to end-users
Administer the security systems
Resolve System user's problems
Data availability:

Test the Disaster Recovery Plan
Training:

Train and coach Chrome Systems users
IT Systems :

Install and configure a multi-user networked operating system where needed
Test Networked IT systems against given specifications

Requirements
Minimum Requirements:

Information Technology (Software Development) Degree of National Diploma
3 Years relevant experience
Additional Qualifications:

Software development (32-bit & 64-bit environment)
Microsoft Desktop environment as well as Microsoft Enterprise environment
MSSQL

Web Development
