Blood Donor Collections Manager (RPN/SANC Registered Professional Nurse)

A well-known house hold name in the Medical NGO environment is looking to employ a customer service orientated, technical and experienced individual. The successful candidate will manage collection teams to ensure targets and objectives are met.
The successful candidate must have:
Registered Professional Nurse (RPN) NQF 5 – essential
Code 8 Drivers license. (Manual) - essential
Computer Literacy. (MS Office) - essential
2-4 years supervisory and management experience - essential
Current Registration with SANC – essential
Current CPR Certificate
Incumbent may be required to drive a company vehicle from time to time as per operational requirements.
May be required to travel with overnight stays.
Must be prepared to work overtime and variable hours within prescribed limits and conditions
The incumbent will be required to be on his/her feet for lengthy period, to carry loads of up to 14kg and assist with loading and off-loading of vehicles and climb stairs within reason

Ideal:
Code 10 Drivers License (PDP).
Management Certificate or Diploma (NQF 5).
Meditech knowledge would be an advantage.
2-4 years experience in a blood transfusion environment.
Microsoft computer experience
Your busy and challenging day will include but not limited to:
To manage equipment and finances in a cost effective manner to achieve the operational objectives of procuring Sufficient, Safe/ Low Risk Quality blood.
To manage staff in order to achieve operational objectives.
Ensures the procurement of sufficient, low risk/ safe and quality blood as per agreed targets per branch.
Ensures that all quality systems are adhered too, to maintain and achieve accreditation requirements.
Ensures optimal clinic Operations.
To manage the effective administration of Collections Department.
Managing a budget in area of responsibility according to SAP variances
Safety Registers and Logbooks
Calibration Certificates and Maintenance Documents
Monthly audit of allocated cost centres and proof of corrective action taken
SAP variance reporting
Monthly petty cash reconciling and reports
Achieving Operational objectives of procuring Sufficient, Safe/Low risk Quality Blood
Technical training planning
HR Documentation and Activities
Customer service reports
Tracking customer complaints to ensure all cases are satisfactorily resolved
Ensuring optimal clinic operations
Studies and distributes appropriate current literature/journals to add to the maintenance of professional knowledge amongst collection staff
Dealing with contractors , centre management and cleaning companies
Conducting performance management
Mentoring, coaching and reviewing to take appropriate steps to correct problems
