Are you an experienced Chartered/ Board Secretary with a keen interest in the economy and business? Our client is looking for a experienced and qualified Chartered/ Board Secretary with 5+ years experience in the same role.

Your industry background would be from business management/ economics, or medical and healthcare and/ or communications.

Job Responsibilities:

To ensure that the Board and Executives fulfil their statutory requirements
To meet the demanding standards of corporate governance now required of companies
To attend to administrative duties as required by the Board and Executives
Delivering excellent communication, administration and minute taking as agreed with the Executive Team and Board of Trustees
Drafting of factual reports, presentations, procedure or policy documents or training material
Drafting of internal or external newsletters, general articles or content for newspapers, journals, magazines or internet sites


Candidate Requirements
Qualifications:

CIS International Qualifying Board Examination - a bonus
Degree/ Advanced Diploma – NQF level 7 (Communication/Editing Degree/Diploma)
5+ years as a Chartered/ Board Secretary

Experience with:

Corporate Governance
Statutory requirements
Editing / Communication
Business Economics / Business Management
Chartered Secretary

Skills:

Keen interest in the business and economy
Efficient organisational ability and time management
Strict attention to detail
High levels of literacy and numeracy
Absorption of technical knowledge and translation into practice
Computer skills and knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel,
MS Office, Outlook and Internet
Exceptional Language skills in English and Afrikaans and strong interpersonal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
Ability of record keeping and documentation
