Requirements:
Qualified Boilermaker that has passed a recognised trade test
Minimum 2 years’ post-apprenticeship experience in a manufacturing environment
Must have good working knowledge of drawings
Must be prepared to work shifts and/or overtime at short notice, including weekend duties
Must be prepared to complete an assessment and interview process

Responsibilities:
Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment like TIG and MIG welding
Examine welding for defects
Check components for conformity to specifications, drawings and standards
Be able to detect faulty operation of equipment and/or defective materials or products and notify supervisors
Identify problems and potential deviations
Ensure that admin and support work is efficient and thorough
Coach and develop subordinates
Must work according to ISO 9001 quality system standards
Must work according to relevant company policies and procedures
Must follow all health safety and environment standards, ensuring that one works safely in accordance with all relevant safe work instructions and operator works instructions
Other duties as deemed necessary and requested by the supervisor or team leader
Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment
