Must have all of the following Qualifications and Experience:
• Minimum Grade 12 / N3 plus Trade test : Boilermaker
• Min 4 years’ experience in a continuous production environment with experience in maintenance of heavy machinery;
• Applied knowledge of Boilermaking Theory & calculation of formulas,
• TIG welding experience,
• Sound experience in Welding (Mild steel, CO2, Cast iron)
• Knowledge of relevant plant electrical systems and equipment,
• Interpreting & Drawing of diagrams / plans,
• Understand Piping systems,
• Knowledge of welding practices on pressurised equipment,
• Isolation & permit to work (LOTO), Risk Assessment, Hot work, Understanding of explosions
• Special Requirements: Forklift license, Working at heights, Fall arrest, Rigging & Slinging; Hoist; Confined spaces, Standby duties
