A well established mining company requires services of well qualified boilermakers and welders to supplement growing demand at one of their mines. Candidates must demonstrate the following skills and capabilities;

• Read drawings, work orders and production schedules to determine product or job
instructions and specifications.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal using gas shielded
metal arc.
• Examine work for defects, and measure with straightedges or templates to ensure
conformance with specifications.
• Set up and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade such as shielded
metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment, grinders and carbon rod gauging.
• Detect faulty operation of equipment and/or defective materials or products and notify
supervisors.

Safety and Compliance
• To be conversant with Quality, Environment, Safety, Drug and Alcohol Policies,
HSQE Management System and Emergency Plan. In particular, ensure that you work safely
in accordance with any relevant Safe Work Method Statements, respect the
environment and report any variations from the way of doing business and safety or
environmental hazards/incidents through an established reporting system. Specific HQSE
Management System responsibilities are as documented in the Management Manual.

Essential Criteria
• Trade qualifications in welding / boilermaking (or equivalent experience).
• Physically fit with good hearing, vision, good coordination and manual dexterity.
• Flexible and cooperative team attitude.
