this construction company is looking for a stand alone bookkeeper who has experience in Xero and or Buildsmart and that would be able to set up systems for the new branch here in Johannesburg and must be able to train the various departments in the use of those packages.
the right person will be responsible for amongst other things :

Managing project hours/costs/orders/creditors/client invoicing/closures (EPCM)

Weekly & Month End : Managing Construction Account (Company was Capital) –

Managing time sheets -
Hrs & Cost to budget, forecast & actual – informing construction manager of variances over
Budget and weekly forecast.
Deciding where to cut labour or lessen hrs where necessary, also basing to cut or leave as is on
the progress of the project

Daily & Month End : Original & Revised budgets, Committed, Actual, Cost to Complete,
Estimates variance analysis (labour hrs and materials)

Month End reports (Exco & Steercom)

Daily & Month End : Commissioning & closing of orders, creditors, invoicing, bog's SMPP, SAP

Orders, procurement, Variation orders (adjusting original budget that has been increase to a revised budget, Change Notices (budget moves) – these are all the main function to run, running a project.

Weekly & Month End : Petty Cash & LOA’s on various projects
