Manufacturing concern in Bellville is seeking to employ a senior experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant to join their dynamic and hardworking team. The right candidate will report to the Financial Manager.
Requirements:
• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Relevant Tertiary Qualification.
• 5-10 years’ experience working as a Bookkeeper/Accountant.
• Pastel Evolution experience – strict requirement.
• Experience with stock/inventory management on Pastel Evolution will be advantageous.
• Management experience will be beneficial.
• Pastel payroll experience: will be responsible for weekly wages of +/- 40 staff members.
• Advanced Excel skills: Pivot tables, Vlookup, and stock management.
• Experience with: WCA, SARS submissions, GL accounts and year-end audit preparations.
• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
• Must have own reliable transport and valid drivers’ license.
Key Performance Areas:
• Prepare monthly management accounts up to income statements and balance sheets.
• VAT returns.
• WCA / RMA returns.
• SARS submissions (EMP201 and EMP 501).
• Draft business letters when required.
• Payroll of weekly wages.
• Prepare year end statements for Financial Manager.
• Capture and calculate year end journals.
• Reconciliations of GL accounts and control accounts.
• Staff management.
