BOOKKEEPER/OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR | R18 000 PER MONTH, NEGOTIABLE TO EXPERIENCE | WOODSTOCK– START ASAP

Our client is an interior design company running various interior design projects. We are seeking a bookkeeper and project administrator. The ideal candidate will be someone who is organised and able to run the admin side of the office diligently. Experience with project management admin would be an advantage.

Job Requirements:

Non-smoker
Have a valid driver’s license
Completed tertiary degree or diploma, preferably in bookkeeping
Have at least 5 years' experience in a similar role
Have excellent Excel, Word, Outlook, Pastel Accounting experience and skills
Ability and willingness to learn and use new accounting and related online software
Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Have excellent attention to detail
Have good communication skills
Must be able to work in a team or on your own

DUTIES

Banking
Reconciling credit card and cash slips with statements
Accounts receivable/Accounts Payable
Provide weekly Debtors and Creditors reports
Processing in Pastel - up to Balance Sheet with reconciliations
Depreciation and journals
Assist with stock counts
VAT and submit on Efiling
Processing payroll journals, payment of Payroll taxes, recons of Payroll control accounts, IRP5 submissions
Reconcile and monitor credits and refunds
Assist with preparation of monthly cash flows
Monitor cash flow between various bank accounts
Pension fund, garnishee and staff loans recons and payments
Calculate and reconcile provisions including workmen’s compensation, audit fees etc.
