Bookkeeper position available
A bookkeeper is required for a hotel.
· To maintain and control all the financial aspects of the hotel’s accounts and financial records
· Process all deposits received in main Bank account
· Monitor balance of bank account – deposits & cheques to prevent overdraft
· Receive and check all creditors invoices and recons
· Ensure that payments for creditors, after reconciling creditors account with supplier statement, are made
· Ensure that creditors are provided creditors with remittance advice after payment
· Resolve creditor queries as they come in
· Assist in with checking of imprest accounts, when required
· Complete the trial balance, income and balance sheet every month for units
· Prepare dashboards for each unit and consolidate into consolidated dashboard
· Ensure that all VAT, PAYE, UIF and any other taxes payable are paid on time and the relevant documentation is up to date and VAT control account is substantiable
· Compile a recharge table to all units and affiliates
· Compiling of monthly journals for Marketing & Managing fees, salaries etc
· Ensure VAT is done correctly
Minimum Qualifications:
· Matric with Accounting,
· B.Comm
· Articles Completed
· Experience essential
