1. DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

An opportunity exists in the Group Finance department to assist in the daily, monthly and annual accounting and administration function.

2. MAIN ACTIVITIES

? Daily capturing, reconciliation and sign-off of bank statement for all group companies;
? Daily capturing of revenue received (invoicing);
? Daily capturing of supplier invoices that comply with internal controls and regulatory requirement (VAT act);
? Maintaining filing system to ensure all filing completed accurately and timeously;
? Intercompany invoicing and allocations;
? Capturing of asset acquisitions via Accpac for monthly reconciliation;
? Requesting of all supplier invoices (including debit orders) for prompt payment, where necessary;
? Capturing and reconciling credit card expenses monthly;
? Assist with the capturing of all statutory returns;
? Assist with annual audit preparations for the group of entities;
? Perform other general accounting support tasks in the Corporate Finance department;
? Ad hoc journals as and when required; and
? Ad hoc task as requested from senior staff.


3. SKILLS REQUIRED

• Sound knowledge of Accounting Standards and Practices.

4. TECHNOLOGY

• Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint),
• Accpac (intermediate)

5. QUALIFICATIONS

Matric with strong mathematical and accounting abilities;
Degree/ Diploma in Financial Accounting or Financial Administration or equivalent.


6. WORKING EXPERIENCE

3 years working experience; & Contactable references.
