Position Reports To: Regional Business Development Manager of Regional Branch Services
Direct Reports: Branch Consultant, Field Sales Agents, In-store Consultants, Administrative staff

OVERVIEW:

Accountable for day-to-day operations of the branch and assisting the Regional Business Development Manager of Regional Branch Services with managerial, and administrative functions. Maintains communication between staff and the Regional Head of Regional Branch Services. Provides support, guidance, and training to staff.

The Manager manages the branch operation to ensure that it functions effectively and efficiently to maximise profitability while maintaining the highest level of service.
This job manages the operations of the branch for dual brands and impacts the operation by ensuring customer satisfaction and effective resources utilisation and profit generation. The Manager is required to exercise independent judgment, making most of daily decisions regarding the operation.
The Manager is clear about authority provided within the role, and has the judgment and maturity to gain support and approval from a higher level when that is required. All duties and service provision will be completed in accordance with established operational procedures and company policies.


Essential Functions:

? Maintains communication between the branch and management by preparing daily, weekly, and month-end reports regarding operations and productivity.
? Formulates recommendations and provides feedback to management regarding operational policies and procedures.
? Management of HR policies, staff performance.
? Interact with Learning and Development team to make sure of effective coaching of sales staff
? Manage all branch administrative tasks; such as HR (labour matters, remunerations and benefits, incentives, training and development of staff),
? Manage discipline at the branches as a progressive
? Operational management of compliance, quality management/assurance, and financial management
? Maintains control over audit procedures to ensure compliance with controls. If weaknesses are identified, reports them to the Regional Head of Regional Branch Services.
? Assists in ensuring that the branch is in compliance with Financial and Insurance laws and regulations set forth by the National Credit Regulations Act, FSB Administration and other regulatory agencies.
? Monitors office activity, including number of transactions, loan volume, sales volume, etc.
? Communicate changes through the business as per corporate or partner business instructions.
? Holds responsibility for auditing, quality of all new applications and for compliance before
Policies and loans are being signed by the Regional Business Development Manager. Deviances
from procedure will be documented by the Regional Business Development Manager of
Regional Branch Services and reviewed with staff.
? Maintains knowledge of the company and its subsidiaries ’s products and services in order to
efficiently train and motivate staff to cross-sell.
? Provides training and coaching to staff in regard to operations and policies.
? Schedules, supervises, and motivates branch staff to maintain optimal customer service satisfaction levels.
? Coaches staff to fulfil business plan goals and regional sales targets
? Evaluating staff’s work performance by helping to prepare and deliver annual reviews and performing coaching sessions.
? Monitors quality of service, and ensures that employees are maximizing opportunities to sell products.
? Assists in managing the security and safety of the branch, by analysing security and safety policies and procedures. Alerts staff of any changes.
? Assists in the interviewing, hiring and training of new branch staff and Field Sales Agents staff
? Act as an Ambassador of the company within the business community.
Other:

? Completes projects on a timely basis as assigned by management.
? Work in partnership with Field Sales, Branch staff, Regional Business Development Manager and Partners to achieve business campaigns
? May perform duties of 2IC representative, operational positions on an as needed basis.
? Resolves customer complaints as they occur.
? Performs other various duties as assigned.

Responsibility Scope/Impact

? This job directly impacts the successful operation and growth of the location by analysing and implementing programs to maximise profits, productivity and quality of service and employee morale.
? The Manager is required to exercise independent judgment and decision making in managing the daily operation of the location assignment, including the areas of asset management, utilisation and return on investment.
? This job performs oversight, coaching and supervisory leadership over staff of the location assignment.
? This role is responsible for setting up performance management indicators and management
? Management of interventions at branch level and equipping staff, in order to achieve set sales targets.
? Reviewing operational tasks, in partnership with Regional Business Development Manager and other partners.

Relevant tertiary qualification

? Diploma or Degree in Business Administration or relevant
? Marketing or Sales Management qualification would be advantageous
? 2-3 years, proven successful experience at supervisory level preferably in an insurance or financial service or related industry
? Experience in sales management industry
? Proven business knowledge to successfully operate a profitable services branch of operation
? Strong communication skills.
? Ability to manage and motivate staff in a team environment
? Creative problem-solving skills
? Valid driver’s license (or willingness to obtain one) and good driving record
