BRANCH MANAGER
UPINGTON AND NC AREA

Requirments:
- Engineering or Technical Mechanical tertiary qualification with at least 5 years Operational management experience required
- Candidate should have experience in Logistics and technical environments as well as experience in equipment, truck, and vehicle fleet management
- Rental industry experience would be an advantage
- Experience in Budgets and planning – responsible for building, implementing, and controlling annual branch budgets
- Experience in an ISO and H&S environment would be an advantage
- Above average people skills management of staff
- Computer literate in MS Office

Duties will include:
- Assist Regional Operations Manager in establishing branch operations budgets along with evaluation of budget to actual on monthly basis,
- Monthly report in income statement meeting on areas of concern and overspend as well as possible solutions in Branch service related areas
- Implement and manage company Financial Control Policies and Procedures in the branch
- Report monthly on branch operations performance along with action plans.
- Ensure management of the tracking and control systems for the equipment to understand the location and status of each asset always.
- Maintain and improve asset availability and condition.
- Benchmark quality standards to be implemented and maintained on equipment and vehicles.
- Ensure a service plan to properly maintain and service all the equipment and vehicles to ensure they are serviced and maintained according to manufacture specifications and
service bulletins.
- Optimize availability of the branch fleet, trucks, and vehicles.
- Assist in technical issues raised by the Branch
- Monthly Customer site visits to ensure customer satisfaction with machine quality and ensure quality standard of equipment is being maintained.
- Management of service (workshop and field), breakdowns and logistics departments
- Management of trade desk (under review)
- Responsible for movement of equipment
- Adhere to, execute, and enforce all company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Monitor and direct all Branch operations and performance
- Update Regional Operations Manager in terms of agreed key performance indicators weekly and monthly.
- Takes responsibility for customer service levels and maintains customer relationship standards.
- Recruitment and motivation of Branch operations staff.
- Optimize and control branch inventory
- Manage the vehicle and truck fleet.
- Ensure that all licensing and regulatory requirements are met
- Ensure that all the supporting assets are properly serviced, maintained and tracked
- Build and maintain relationships with all the key local suppliers to the business for technical and service support.
- Build and maintain the technical capability of the business through supplier accreditation / assistance
- Collaborate with the Sales manager and commercial team to operationally support delivery of the sales and commercial objectives
- Develop and maintain appropriate operational infrastructure and resources in the branch to support revenue growth and commercial activity
- Manages customers service complaints and breakdowns
- Manages customer satisfaction
- Maintain and improve CSI scores (Customer Satisfaction Index)
- Ensure all assets are maintained according to company standards
- Identify staff training requirements to promote staff development and technical and service standards
- Ensure staff are adequately trained

- Contribute on safety related issues in all aspects of the business
- Ensure that any user of any piece of equipment has the appropriate skills, training, and licensing
- Ensure all safety bulletins on equipment are carried out, documented, and stored as per manufacturer specification.
- Ensure all company assets are safe for use according to manufacturer specifications and OSHACT.
- Able to play a key and leadership role in the branch management

- Develops plans to improve Branch Operational performance and deliver Operational Excellence.
- Develop correct resource ratios to ensure effective maintenance and response times for all service aspects of the branch
- Communicates directly with customers on service problems.
- Daily talks with staff in all areas of the business.
- Evaluate and assist in employment of all operations staff in the branch
- Evaluate staff job performance and action accordingly per company policy and
- Approve employee vacation, sick and personal time requests.
- Assist staff when complaints and emergencies arise by investigating and solving the problem.
- Assume employee responsibilities when needed.
- Conduct department, store, and safety meetings.
- Perform other duties as requested
