JOB PROFILE: BRANCH MANAGER : PIETERSBURG

• Purpose of position
Responsible for the management, of the Pietersburg Branch , business development and customer service.

• Reporting Structure
The Branch Manager : will report directly to the Area Manager

• Key Roles and Responsibilities

This individual’s role includes:
• Achieve the Branch targets. Formulate and forecast the annual business plan in coordination with management. Monitor all operations to ensure that branch is on track for meeting targets.
• Develop new business avenues for growth with focus on asset and liability product marketing. Participate in community activities to promote the bank’s image and products. Provide personalized customer service to clients.
• Ensure adherence to SARB and HO directives in all operational matters.
• Review daily operational reports and ensure reporting to Management.
• Evaluating, reviewing and improving the effectiveness of the Branch.
• Training, continued professional development and performance management of the staff in the branch and keeping abreast with legal & regulatory environment.
• Motivate credit proposals which should include risk analysis and clearly stipulating business reasons and recommendations for approval by Bank’s Credit Committee.
• Develop business development and customer service teams.

• Education and experience

In keeping with the seniority of the position the minimum education and experience profile for the incumbent is as follows:

Education
• Relevant qualification Experience will be primary for the role, and qualifications a secondary requirement.

Experience
• Minimum of 5-8 years experience in a banking institution.
• Experience in negotiating new business – personal and business accounts.
• Track record of winning new business and developing the existing client base.
