The Role

This reputable and dynamic company is looking for the skills of a Branch Manager to Plan, Direct, Monitor and Control branch operations through intelligent planning in line with the company‘s Service Level Agreement. To deliver efficient and cost-effective functionality and sustained profitability of the business operation. To ensure the smooth and optimum running / use of company infrastructure

Skills & Experience

• Matric • Certificate in Logistics / Transportation management • Minimum 5 years experience in Logistics and or Warehousing

Key Accountabilities

Plan, Direct, Monitor and Control Branch
• Plan and execute the branch operations strategy
• Develop continuity plans to ensure that operations run seamlessly
• Manage costs effectively
• Monitor and control processes through the implementation of SOP’s and analysis of reports from staff.
• Develop and implement a risk management plan
• Review and improve processes regularly to ensure effective service delivery
• Ensure communication with customers
• Manage customer’s contract expectations
• Effectively manage customer’s loss control
• Ensure efficient collections and deliveries by close monitoring and control of in-conformance and out of conformance reports
• Build and maintain solid relationships with customers thus ensuring that the business retains customers
• Review logistics performance with customers against targets, benchmarks and service agreements
• Achieve operational standards as per NSA audit • Support and drive sustainable community and environmental projects
• Responsible for supervisors, admin staff and warehouse staff Project Management
? Develop and implement technical project management tools such as plans, schedules, and responsibility and compliance matrices
? Manage operations based project planning and rollout Strategic Human Resource Management
? Manage staff in the achievement of planned divisional objectives and targets by ensuring that the business has a high performance culture
? Clarify staff roles and responsibilities, set performance objectives, manage and conduct performance reviews in accordance with policies and procedures and take corrective action where necessary
? Implement a management succession plan
? Build a pro-active environment where the staff can take responsibility for results
? Set and achieve Employment Equity targets
? Identify critical skills essential for sustainability of service delivery and the development of succession plans and give feedback to the Operations director Produce Reports
? Produce reports e.g. Undelivered report, Bomaster report and Cost reports
? Produce reports in accordance with policies, procedures and legal requirements
? Develop reports containing all relevant information
? Quality-check the report to ensure accuracy, relevancy and completeness and apply changes where necessary Manage Budget
? Prepare and manage the operational and capital budgets
? Approve budgetary expenditures within authorization limits or delegations
? Review and report on financial performance
? Ensure the reduction of costs of all resources
