BRANCH TECHNICAL SUPPORT / COUNTER SALES – EAST LONDON

Area: East London (Vincent)
Salary: R 10 000 to R 13 000 pm

Requirements:
• Matric or tertiary qualification
• 1 to 3 years’ related experience, and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Preferably TV/VCR/circuitry repairs knowledge
• Alarm systems installation and programming knowledge is essential.
• Must be computer literate

Duties (overview):
• Ensuring calendar/Customer Relationship Module System updated with all client activities.
• Ensuring client contact details of client on database ensuring accurate information for access by the management team. This includes details of contact persons, positions held, influence and decision making level as per addendum A.
• Prepare client quotations in line with company ISO procedures and the Branch Manager.
• Greets customer on sales floor and/or telephonically. Determines make, type, and quality of merchandise desired
• Prepares sales invoice and delivery note and credit notes
• Receives payment or obtains credit authorization, deposits money received into company bank account.
• Solicit sales by calling new/existing clients daily
• Issuing and receiving of stock, sorts and files records.
• Processes orders
• Visual inspection of circuit boards, checking for missing components, lightning damage, dry joint and broken tracks.
• Connecting of circuit boards to relevant equipment
• Diagnosing of malfunctioning components and replacing where necessary
• Testing of circuit boards for malfunction and providing technical department with feedback on faults found.
• Final test of circuitry before release to Repairs Stores and/or customer
• Telephonic and on-site technical support (customers and/or sales staff)
• Conduct product training and testing of new equipment.
• Carry out product uploads and downloads for clients.
