Our Client, one of the leading companies in the beauty industry with offices located in Cape Town, currently has a fantastic position open as Brand Activation Manager. In this role, you will provide excellent marketing and sales skills. The Marketing Team within the Africa Affiliate is responsible for supporting the customization and execution of Dubai Marketing Strategies across Africa. Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing customer differentiation strategy via tailored Key Account activation calendar in collaboration with marketing (IMP) and trade marketing, based on retailers’ KA event calendar and by account shopper understanding (in line with brand footprint and brand guidelines)
• Exploit market specific events (Christmas, Mother’s Day, etc)
• Lead design adaptation + lead full production and logistics with suppliers, agencies and distributors – for the full in-store toolkits (cropping, re-sizing of the designs developed by brand marketing)
• Own and drive the full execution of the activations, including promotions, promotional merchandising assets, in store execution, influencers activation (when retailer-specific), while feeding to /working with Brand Marketing on digital needs
• Recommend BA/promoters needs for each activation + lead the trainings (with help of marketing on the brand part) and trade marketing/ trainers on the BA part
• Own distributors onboarding on brands and marketing
• Accountable for providing the activation to the retail in full and on time
• Monitor timeline with brand and trade marketing, as well as external partners
• Manage the A&CP budget allocated from marketing to the activation projects + raise all POs for owned projects
• Key contributor to tailoring of IMP for local market
• Equip the brand and trade marketing with in store knowledge, including BA and merchandisers needs (BA and merchandisers: trade marketing)
• Lead the KA quantitive/qualitative activation post-analysis, including sell out, in-store pictures, competition outlook, BA inputs.
• Feed the brand and trade marketing teams with competition intelligence

Skills

• 3-5 years Brand Management and Activation experience within the South African Retail Environment
• Commercially aware with experience in P&L management, budget planning and customer management
• Passion for the Health and Beauty sector
• Preference for working in fluid environments, Embracing and accelerating change, thinking outside the box
• and bringing fresh ideas
• Good ability to work in cross functional teams with loosely defined roles and responsibilities
• Strong sense of individual accountability and autonomy
• Excellent Communication Skills, delivering impactful presentations with the ability to negotiate and influence
